Hey Guys!
WOW! I was blown away last night! I was sitting in the second row directly in the middle. It was great!
David Blonn was awesome. He was so cute when he was playing around during Bustopher Jones! (that one-on-top-of-the-other thing was great!)
I had a staring contest with a few "kitties" (skimble, victoria, uumm misto, and maybe david)
I LOVED Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer! It was great! Bryce is going to go far! I'm still in shock that people can actually do those double cartwheels (I don't even know if I spelt that right). But Bryce and "teazer" pulled it off! YAY! :D Bryce was very entertaining too.
Growltiger's Last Stand was great (I can't think of anymore adj. so kill me!) as well. It was so funny between Griddlebone and Growltiger during the duet, they acted their part really good. And Griddlebone (sorry I don't remember anyone else's names :( ) has a beautiful voice!
I did have one question, though. After the Macavity scare (the last one), I thought it ws supposed to be Munkus and Demeter, what happend? Not that it was bad, I just hadn't ever seen it with them two. Oh! And during the Macavity fight, was Munkus supposed to fall like that? I mean did something happen that wasn't supposed to?? It didn't look like choreography, I really hope he didn't get hurt. If he did, I hope he gets better soon.
Dancing: INCREDIBLE! This entire cast is very talented, no wonder you all made it into one of the most difficult shows in the world!
Singing: The singing was great, too. However, there were a few chords I was iffy on. Or maybe it was just me. But everything else was amazing.
I brought my dad, since he's never seen the show before, he was talking about it all the way home. It was so funny, he was trying to dance down to the parking garage! I mean, imagine this, a muscle building, 6 foot, mailman trying to dance the Jellicle Ball! *ROFL!!*
After the show I tried to get to the stage door, but it was pretty much impossible b/c there was a locked gate around it! :( But I figured they would be rushing to get to their buses anyways.
Congrats on the opening night!
Extra applause to everyone in the cast and on the crew. I had a great time! And I can't wait till January (they'll be in Coral Springs, I think, like 15 minutes from my house, yay!)
Congrats again!!
Love,

I saw the Cats tour here in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday night (9/6/01), it was wonderful. This was the 10th time I have seen Cats, and this was one of the best tours that I have seen come through here. I was a little nervous that this new cast wasn't going to be as good considering that I read a mixed review in our local newspaper, the Sun Sentinel. After seeing Cats last night, I have a feeling our reviewer either didn't want to go out to see Cats again or he either hates Cats.
Anyway I had a wonderful time:) I had an excellent seat in the 8th row center. Once the lights came down and the Overture started, it was the beginning of an amazing night. Everything in the first act was excellent and I didn't really miss having not seeing The Aweful Battle of The Pekes and Pollicles in the show. And Act two was just as great and I was a little sad that the show was over. The sets were almost identical to the previous tour and I liked how they improved Grizabella's lift to the Heaviside Layer. This was an amazing cast and the audience was on its feet at the curtain call. There was even one cat at the curtain call doing handstands, I can't remember which Cat it was, maybe Pouncival, it was very impressive. I noticed with this tour that it seemed like the Cats were a little bit more in the audience than other tours and they went further back in the theater than previous tours. The previous tours only went and came in through the doors closest to the stage but this tour cast went all the way to the back doors of the orchestra level. In conclusion, what a wonderful evening. I can't wait to see the show when it comes back to Coral Springs, Florida in January, which is around twenty minutes north of Fort Lauderdale. The souvenier program was not available at the show tonight but the nice man selling the souveniers was handing out business cards for information on how to order a souvenier program when they come out in a few weeks. The information on the busines card is to call 1-888-604-7991 extension 527 for the Cats souvenier program and the name on the card is Joan Finkelstein for SFX merchandise. What an excellent evening at Cats and I would like to praise how wonderful this cast is.
