The Jellicle's live in a suburb near London, England. The area they live in does not have alot of buildings in the area, but there are some. The Sanctuary is located about a 10 minute drive from downtown. If the Jellicles walked, it would take about half an hour to get to the edge of downtown London. About a block and a half away and to the Northeast of the Sanctuary is a playground. Thom Faber lives approximately a 15 minute drive to the Southeast of the Sanctuary. There are two "lots" of land they traverse on. Both are surrounded by fences and are separated above ground by a street. There is a tunnel which the Jellicles had dug underground that connects the two plots of land.

Junkyard:

The yard is surrounded by a 7 foot stone wall with a gate at the north end and a gate at the south end. Only Jellicles, Lloyd, Thom Faber, Nathan Lansing, and Demona Callery have keys to the gates. The stone wall is made of simple large white bricks. There is a large tractor tire in the middle of the yard. There is also a very large pipe that the Jellicle's can walk through. This is the entrance to the tunnel. The pipe is located off to the side, near the wall closest to the building. To enter the tunnel from the junkyard, the Jellicles have to go into the pipe. The pipe's other end is open. There is a door in the wall of the pipe and the Jellicles know where it is because it is not easy to spot by the naked eye. The Jellicles have to push a certain spot to open the door.

Building Floorplans:

The building is a 6 story building. Originally, I had imagined it to be an old office building, but changed it to more like a dorm building. It is surrounded by a 7 foot chain-link fence and bushes and trees. All the windows are tinted so that those inside can see inside, but those outside the building cannot see in.

The main floor has a large meeting area in which the Jellicles can meet if they need to. There is an office that Lloyd and Deuteronomy share. There is a computer in there for them, and two computers on a long table just outside the office for the other Jellicle's to use. There are 4 couches and 4 easy chairs in the main room as well as a tv and stereo/cd player. There is a table with 8 chairs in the dining area. The bathroom has two stalls in it. There is a t car garage on the side of the building that has a door which enters into the main room. There is a front and back porch. The Jellicles hardly ever use the front porch, but got out on the back porch occasionally at night. The secret door to the Tunnel is located in a "closet" underneath the stairs on the main floor. To open the door, the Jellicles go into the closet, push a certain panel and the door will open. (The Jellicles take turns with chores including cooking. Jennyanydots is the one who organizes the chores.)

Floors 2 - 5 are identical. There are 11 rooms on each of those floors. The corner rooms are large enough to hold 2 Jellciles. There is also a "General Area" where the fireplace is for those on that floor to meet and chat if they want to. There are two bathrooms on each floor. And in each bathroom there are two sinks, two stalls, and two showers. (Old Deut and Munk decided to let the Jellicles choose where they wanted to be, however, they asked that there be two "Protectors" on each floor.)

The 6th floor is a little different because of the tilt of the roof. There couldn't be any rooms on the backside of the building. Room "6E" is only large enough for one Jellicle. The rest of the rooms are large enough to hold small families if need be. The bathrooms have two stalls and two sinks in each one. There is one shower, and one bathtub/shower in each of the bathrooms on this floor only. The ceiling is not finished and the rafters can be seen. It's up to the Jellicles to finish the ceiling. Single Jellicles can stay in the rooms if they want, but have to give them up for families should any form.

Rooms in the Building:

Each room has the basics... A bed. A bedside stand with a lamp on it. A small desk with a chair. A dresser and a closet. Though they don't usually like to wear the humans clothes, they each do have a small selection of clothes within each room to use if they want for going out into public. After that, each room is how each Jellicle has maintained it.
